TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Bessemer City High School cheerleading squad traded its home turf for the national stage, performing at the University of Alabama.

The Purple Tiger cheerleaders were invited to showcase their skills at the university, an opportunity that highlighted the squad's dedication and commitment to excellence. Dressed in their signature purple and gold, the team represented the high school with what local supporters call "that Big Bessemer spirit."

School officials praised the athletes for their hard work and the discipline required to perform at a collegiate venue.

“We are so proud of their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence,” administrators said following the event. “Thank you for representing BCHS with pride, class, and that Big Bessemer spirit!”
